Two weeks ago, the BF, my parents and myself went for a quick escape to the Scottish borders, in Coldstream to be precise, the plan was simply to get out of town, get some fresh air and enjoying the rare nice weather!
Il y a deux semaines, le copain, mes parents et moi sommes partis faire une petite escapade à la frontière Écossaise , à Coldstream pour être précise, le plan était très simple, sortir de la ville, prendre l'air et profiter de l'exceptionnel beau temps!

If you follow me on social media you might have seen some of those pictures, here and there (okay everywhere but they're super cool!)
So I thought I'd just share them here so you can see them in proper quality and proper size... It's been a while people sorry! I got super busy (events shooting season is back!) But I'm here, and soon I'll be posting about the collective Ladies Wine & Design that I joined three months ago as we're celebrating the 1st year birthday next week! So, let's talk food now!
Bon, parlons bouffe maintenant! I while ago Corinne from Powder Butterfly contacted me because she needed new pictures for her products to renew the visuals and make them more coherent as a whole. A bit about the brand, first of all, she creates all the design and all products are made in the UK! If you want to check the website and shop it's here.
Okay folks, I have several pancakes recipes that I use, and even though this one is not the one I'm currently doing, this is my favourite one, no oil, no butter, no dairy and soooo fluffy!
Hey guys! It's been a while, I had a pretty busy couple of weeks, and no time to write anything before ahah, although it did happen a few weeks ago, I attended my first blogger event "Blog & Bloom" hosted by the amazing Katie Meehan at Arch Sixteen Café (really cool place in Gateshead). Soooo I decided that meant I was a real blogger now (even if I don't post every week!)
For those of you following me on Instagram (and if you don't, what are you waiting for! I'm posting everyday!) you might have noticed that during the last January I posted quite a lot of food pictures, three per week at least to be more accurate. Why? How? What for? Well let's see this... It all started when I discovered the blog and Instagram feed of Kimberly from The Little Plantation, I was like yay finally a food photography challenge/community within the UK! Tomorrow's is Saint Patrick's day, you know, the Irish celebration that everybody actually celebrate because it's a good excuse to drink a lot of beer, yes, that one. Well, I don't like beer (yes, I know, booo), but I do like using it when I bake/cook! So for this year, let's see how to use beer to make an amazing and tasteful crêpes batter! Last Thursday, it was International Women Day, that same day opened the temporary exhibition WO/ in Vane Gallery in city centre of Newcastle. It is curated by artists Melanie Kyles and Caitlin Heaney, and because they're the best to talk about the actual exhibition here's what it is about:
"The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is Press for Progress, which focuses on gender parity and acknowledges movements working towards global gender equality. ‘WO/’ aims to allow feminine-identifying artists to have a platform to share their stories of societal and gender expectations, sexual and gender identity, heritage, reclaiming the feminine voice, and economic inequality, with a diverse mix of twenty UK-based and international artists." My mum has always baked since I was a kid, you wouldn't find any supermarket biscuit or cake in the house, so it made me very picky with food as I got use to homemade from a very young age, although I went through a rebel phase of "I live alone now, I'll eat McDonald's and pasta everyday if I want to", I quickly went back to my former habits and now I'm probably eating fast-food 4/5 times per year (yes, year, not week, nor month, I know right, I'm so good at adulting... And I also like not having big holes in my jeans where my thighs rub against each other...). Yes baking/cooking takes time, and I can be super lazy like most human being (the rest of the time, I'm also lazy but I'm feeling guilty so I do stuff) That's why in order not to stuff myself with "Bonne Maman" madeleines every morning, I make homemade granola in advance. Let's see how... |
